The distance from the bracket to the furthest point on the ring is about 225mm (just short of 9 inches).
The ring size diameter is about 125mm (approx 5 inches). The ring size is adjustable to about 205mm (approx 8 inches) simply by pulling at the free end of the steel ring once mounted (see video).
The tree retaining ring is designed to pivot / rotate through 180 degrees in its bracket to allow the trees to have natural movement while still being retained as they grow (see second video).
